This week we have been asking Joshua class… ‘Who is afraid of the Big Bad Wolf?’ They have recounted the story in the right order and discussed the materials the pigs used to build their houses.
The children have looked at children’s houses from all around the world and compared them with their own homes. Joshua class have used microphones to be news reporters and built enormous houses to protect themselves from the wolf. They have also made their own pig costumes!
The children have also been learning about Diwali, the Festival of Lights. Joshua class have learnt why Hindu’s celebrate around the world, what Diwali has in common with celebrations like Christmas and learnt about the story of Rama and Sita. They have made Diya lamps, drawn Rangoli patterns and even had a go at doing some Diwali dancing!
