Parent Teacher Association

Our Parent Teacher Association (PTA) is a great way of getting to know other families and staff whilst making a real contribution to the quality of school life for all. Fund-raising is a major part of our PTA’s activities and directly contributes to the improvement of our school, but there’s a lot more to it than that. PTAs provide a great way to build the whole school community, including links with the wider society, all of which benefits our children and offers a positive influence within our local area. Children love seeing their parents in school. You can benefit them, improve their educational environment and make friends too.

Newquay Primary Academy Parent Teacher Association (PTA) is a group of parents and staff who work together to raise money for extra resources or experiences; above and beyond what is provided by the Government, for the children of Newquay Primary.

The group was formed in January 2023 and in its first seven months, raised nearly £1,000. Although in its infancy, the PTA have already held Easter fundraisers, raffles and a family-fun day. The PTA was also pleased to supply an ice lolly for each child in the school during June’s Sports Day.
The group is looking to build on its successes over the 2023/24 academic year and have a number of fundraisers in the pipeline. You can also pick up books and second-hand uniform in the school reception for a donation – with all money going to the PTA.
How can you help?

If you’d like to become involved in the PTA, you will be very welcome to attend meetings. These are generally held once every two-to-three months.

If you have a fundraising idea, the PTA would love to hear from you. Speak to Tracey at reception about getting in touch. Volunteers are also very welcome at fundraising events to help man stalls, run activities or sell raffle tickets.
